What is Home?

Is home a physical space, a state of being, or a sense of love and the acknowledgement that you are important and wanted?  Transitions would like to invite you to join us for an art show that explores the true meaning of home from the perspective of our clients.

Transitions’ Artist in Residence, Khaldoune Bencheikh, has been working with client artist to investigate their perspectives on the true meaning of home utilizing materials salvaged from a recently demolished house to create handmade, one of a kind canvases and frames. The egg tempera paintings are a beautiful representation of the intrinsic value of both the materials and the people that our society all too often cast away.

The Reconstructing Home art show will be the central focus of our fundraiser evening. All client produced work will be up for sale in our silent auction along with work from local and regional SC artist.

Join us at 5:30pm for the Cocktail Hour portion of the evening and enjoy light hoers' devours, an open bar and beautiful sounds of the SC Philharmonic string quartet. The Cocktail Hour runs until 7pm and your $40 ticket is good for both portions of the evening’s events. 

Part 2 - After Hours Event starts at 7PM and continues through the evening. Entertainment will be provided by Mr. B's Goodtime Karaoke Explosion with cool sounds to get you going provided by the Greater Columbia Soul Preservation Society. Cash bar, silent auction and surprises in store, what more could you want for $15!
